Hi there! Welcome to my blog!
If you are visiting for the first time, perhaps from the UBP 2012 hosted by 5 Minutes for Moms, I'm so grateful and thrilled to have you here!
Okay, let's get started! Here's a little bit about myself and my mission here at UnEMPLOYED Faith.
I'm Rosann, wife {10yrs now!} to the man of my dreams, mommy to two sweetly spirited little girls {3 & 6}, and woman with a great big heart for God. Oh, I also have a huge heart for families struggling through unemployment in this ugly recession.
Perhaps you've felt the very personal sting of unemployment or know someone who has.
You see, my husband and I just went through a 3yr season of recession related unemployment. Talk about having our world turned upside down! Anyway, it was a very lonely and embarrassing time in our life and could have easily destroyed our marriage. Thankfully, we chose not to allow that to happen.
I did, however, write a book about the ways I coped as the wife to an unemployed man.
A year ago, I would have never believed you if you'd pulled me aside and said, "Rosann, you're going to publish a book about coping with unemployment." I just never saw myself as the published author type of gal. It's funny how God changes us from the inside out, ultimately changing our course in life too.
So here I am, an unexpected author of a book and an encouragement blog to go with it. I also blog over at my other website Christian SuperMom. I hope you'll stop over there for a visit as well.
My mission with this blog is to love you and encourage you as you walk through your challenging and emotional season of unemployment. If you subscribe by email {look in the sidebar}, periodically you'll get a piece of Christian encouragement in your email inbox sharing inspiration and hope as well as ideas or tips for making this time of your life a little more bearable.
If you're a blogger, keep checking back as I'm very close to launching an affiliate program here. I'm also looking for people interested in writing a book review of UnEMPLOYED Faith or being guest contributors. You can contact me at Rosann@unemployedfaith.com if this is of interest to you.
I hope you'll leave a comment introducing yourself. I love to make new friends!

So nice to see you at the party Rosann! Have fun meeting some wonderful bloggers.
Thanks Barbie! It's so wonderful to see you enjoying the party too!
It is quite fun!
Hope you're feeling better and that your weekend will be blessed!
~Rosann
I won a copy of your e-book from Ms. Becky @ Rise Above Your Limits. My husband has been unemployed since December 2011. I think the biggest thing going against him finding another job is his age....56. Would appreciate prayers!!!
Oh, Deb, I do remember you winning that giveaway. I hope you've been encouraged by the words of UnEMPLOYED Faith and I will definitely cover you in prayer. I know age is a factor that makes it difficult to get hired in this economy {my husband struggled for the same reasons}, but I also know God always has a much better plan in store for us. I'm so glad you stopped over for a visit. Have you considered joining the UnEMPLOYED Faith Facebook Group? I think you might find it helpful to have support, prayers, and conversation with other women who are experiencing similar hardships. Drop me a note and I'll add you as a member if you're interested. We'd love to have you!
Blessings my friend,
~Rosann
So glad to see your beautiful smile as part of the party! We never truly know why we go through what we do but we are given the opportunity to help those who are going through something similar. Your book is doing that for others Rosann!
Awww, thank you Wendy!! You're right, we never know what the good Lord has in store for us, but it's almost always life changing for the better! My greatest prayer is that the words of my book will give hope and inspiration to those who are struggling through the same tough time.
Blessings to you friend,
~Rosann
So true! The hardest part is remembering it during the darkest moments.
Hi There Rosann,
I am visiting from the blog party and would love to review your book! I am on quite a journey and began blogging around the time I became unemployed...Anyway...limping along with joy by grace
looking forward to all God will do through my journey! Nice to meet you!
Hi Dawn! Thank you for the offer to do a book review. I'll email you a copy soon. And I'll be visiting your blog soon too. I'd love to hear more about the journey you're on, and pray for you as well.
Blessings,
~Rosann

Thanks Glenda!
When my husband got laid of five years ago we just decided to have him stay at home with the kids and it was the best decision ever.
Court, that's wonderful! For some families that's the perfect solution.
I found your website through a random stroke of luck. It helped me do my research on this topic. I have spent lots of time looking through your site. You have something good going here, keep it up!
Hello, I'm stopping by from UBP! Thank you for your ministry to those dealing with unemployment! There really is not much help or encouragement for people in this situation and it can seem very hopeless at times. My husband was unemployed for over two years. In fact, we started our marriage with him unemployed and me without work during the summer months. It was tough, but we learned to trust God more and it built our marriage and understanding of finances more than I ever thought it would. We are so blessed now that he has a good job with benefits and I am able to stay at home!
Be Blessed,
Ashley
Wow, thank you for sharing Ashley! It's comments like yours that help me stay the course and keep putting myself out there to encourage those dealing with such a difficult time. Some days I feel like it's just me that went through it and nobody else really cares or can relate, and then other days I get awesome comments like yours or others from people who are going through it right now and need advice or prayers. It's those moments when God confirms to my heart that this ministry is valued and important, even if it seems quiet at times. Unemployment is a humiliating experience to deal with and not many people are willing to share openly about it, but I know God is sending them here for words of encouragement when they need it most. Even if they don't leave a comment or respond in any way. I appreciate you!
Blessings,
~Rosann
Ashley, thank you for stopping by! I appreciate your kind words about this ministry. It really means so much to me! So happy you and your husband were successful in turning a difficult situation into a blessing. That's really the primary point of my book and this website.
